The 2021 BCDC Spring Hunt was a great success. A special thanks to the members who showed up early to seed the main hunt field, the generous sponsors, and everyone who brought something for the picnic lunch. Another thanks to the 'Hunt Chef' Doris for grilling up the hot dogs. Once again, there were some fun competition hunts. Congratz to Tanya's team for winning the Poker Hunt. Congratz to James for winning the Elimination Hunt. Fred had the winning raffle ticket for the Nokta Simplex WHP. Toby and the Hunt Committee put together a fantastic Spring Hunt and I am sure everyone is already looking forward to the Fall Hunt.

The 2019 BCDC Christmas Party was a huge success. Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed some 'holiday cheer'. We had some great raffles including a gold coin, a Minelab Xterra 705 metal detector, and plenty of silver. Thank you Penn Bistro for hosting us once again, the excellent buffet, and the hospitality. What a fantastic way for the BCDC to end the year. See you in 2020!

2019 BCDC Fall Hunt, Prep Night: The Hunt Committee got together in the War-Room a few days before the Fall Hunt to finish the prep work. Our sponsors are always very generous with their donations. We put together about 2500 targets, tokens, and jewelry to be dug up. We had a lot of prizes to give away including metal detectors, pin pointers, and silver bullion.
2019 BCDC Fall Hunt, Pre-Hunt: Everyone arrived for the big event. The buffet was prepped, the hunt fields seeded, the prizes laid out, and the BCDC gals showed up in their pink shirts. We had perfect weather, and participants were ready to do a lot of digging. A big thanks to those who showed up to help seed the hunt fields.

The 'Mystery of the Enigma' even made a surprise appearance!
BCDC 2019 Spring Hunt - Post Hunt: Everyone enjoyed our traditional 'hot dog BBQ' and all the other food that everyone generously brought. BCDC 2019 Spring Hunt - Mystery Chest: 12 special tokens were buried on the Main Hunt Field. Each was traded in for a key. Everyone gathered around the locked chest to see which key would open the lock. Tim was first to try his key, and as luck would have it, it opened! Inside was a First Texas Titan 9000 metal detector and a sniper-coil which was donated by KellyCo!

It was a mix of luck, determination, & speed, as members dug the different tones & signals as fast as they could. There were a lot of full pouches at the end.

2017 BCDC CHRISTMAS PARTY: Members and guests enjoyed a very nice evening and a great buffet. Penn Bistro hosted the Club's 10th anniversary Christmas Party for the 10th time, and as always, the food and service were amazing. It was so nice seeing so many bearded veteran members as well as new members attend this end-of-the-year Club event.

2017 MOON PARK 3-CLUB HUNT: Members of the Beaver County, Butler County, and North Pittsburgh metal detecting clubs arrived for the competition hunt in Moon Park. Event organizer Dan Gabler explained the rules to the participants. Each club donated a 1 oz silver coin as prizes for the event for Best Coin, Best Jewelry, and Best Whatever categories.

2017 MOON PARK 3-CLUB HUNT: A shotgun start had hunters scattering in all directions and digging targets. It was a slow start but soon the coins, jewelry, and interesting finds were being found. Club members were told to pick up trash and save all garbage that was dug up. Everyone was excited for what they would find, especially since the Park has a 'no metal detecting' rule and we got special permission to hold this one-time event.

2017 MOON PARK 3-CLUB HUNT: Detectorists turned in their best finds in the Best Coin, Best Jewelry, and Best Whatever categories. The voted were counted. Bernie Connor brought home the win for the BCDC by taking first in 2 categories. Kudos Bernie! It was amazing how much garbage was turned in. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed meeting members from the other 2 clubs.

2017 FALL HUNT/PRE-HUNT SEEDING: Members arrived early to seed the hunt field and get the food and prizes ready for the day's events. The weather was perfect and the sun was shining. Adam provided a breakfast of donuts, apple cider, and Yoohoo. Special thanks to the 'seeders' who planted 2500 coins and tokens in the field. Always a grueling task for sure.

2017 FALL HUNT: We had a fantastic turn out for the  Fall Hunt. Members surrounded the hunt field and the main event began with a shotgun-start. There were so many different types of targets to dig up. Members were told to be on the look out for 10 special gold-colored tokens and 4 large foreign coins that were for 2 'special events' following the main Hunt to celebrate the Club's 10th anniversary this year.

2017 THE BCDC TREASURE CHEST: A surprise event was added to the BCDC Fall Hunt to celebrate it's 10th anniversary. 10 gold-colored tokens were buried in the hunt field. Members who found one could trade it in for a key. Only one key opened the lock on the BCDC treasure chest. Members lined up and tried their keys to no avail, and then it was Curt's turn. CLICK! OPENED! Inside was a Minelab Go-Find 60! Congratulations Curt!
2017  Fall Hunt: 4-COLOR HUNT & POKER HUNT: 4 members who found a foreign coin on the main hunt field qualified for the 4-Color Hunt. It was speed & strategy. Each member drew a color. They had to dig 5 of their color coins on a mini-hunt field that included decoy coins. Paul was the fastest finding 5 of his color & won a 1 oz .999 silver eagle coin! Members also participated in the Poker Hunt! Four teams of five. Each member went to a special field & dug a quarter with a playing card corner on. Two pair won it!

2017 Spring Hunt - Members enjoyed a buffet lunch including Dick's famous hot dog BBQ while teams participated in the first BCDC 'Poker Hunt'. 52 coins with playing card corners were planted in a second field. Three teams tried to put together the best hand to win a prize of silver coins. Members traded in their different tokens for coins and gear prizes. Steve Dodin won the ACE400, Dick Lyle won the Garrett AT ProPointer and the Boobie-prize, Bernie Connor won the Lesche digger, and Terry Taylor won a silver bullion coin. What a great Hunt!

2017 Spring Hunt - Members hit the Hunt field to dig up over 2500 coins and targets! Ike dollars, clad Kennedy halves, 40% silver Kennedy halves, SBA dollars, Presidential gold dollars, quarters, painted quarters which could be turned in for merc dimes, 3 'mystery coins', Deus tokens, and brass tokens were buried in the Hunt field. Hunters used their speed-hunting techniques to find as many targets as possible.

2017 SPRING HUNT - In the early morning, BCDC members seeded the hunt field as others got the prizes, food, and sponsor brochure tables ready for the 2017 BCDC Spring Hunt. We had our group photo taken. The weather was perfect and everyone was excited to hit the field and dig over 2500 in coins and targets! Over 170 tokens were buried, which were good for coin packs, old coins, and merchandise prizes.

2016 BCDC Christmas Party - The BCDC celebrated their annual Christmas Party at Penn Bistro in New Brighton. We enjoyed an amazing dinner, a secret santa gift exchange, and some great conversation. Special thanks to Victoria's Embroidery for the gift basket of BCDC items.
