THE PREZ SEZ
WOW! I thought fall fell upon us rather swiftly, but apparently old man winter wasn’t about to be outdone. Thanksgiving will be here in a couple of days, and then Christmas, then a New Year and then spring won’t be far off. At least that’s what I’m hoping for, since fall and winter were so early. This is the time of year set aside to give thanks for our many blessings and for the people we value in our lives. I wish to take this opportunity to express my utmost appreciation for the fine group of people who make up BCDC. Many thanks to the officers and committee persons who have made my job a breeze and to all the members who have helped see BCDC successfully through our 1st year. Thank you, one and all. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Joyous, Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Red Craft-President BCDC ## A THANKSGIVING POEM
May your stuffing be tasty May your turkey be plump May your potatoes and gravy have never a lump May your yams be delicious And your pies take a prize And may your Thanksgiving dinner Stay off your thighs

Just Rambling
Since this is the beginning of the dreariest season of the year for metal detecting this will be a short newsletter.
Red Craft and went detecting a couple weeks ago up near Zelienople, Pa. We had big ideas of finding treasures around an old house just off of Rt 19. We arrived at the site and found dozens of NO TRESPASSING signs surrounding the property. They stated NO TRESPASSING on Property and Property is Regularly Patrolled. These were signed and posted every 25 feet along with yellow NO TRESPASSING tape across both of the driveways. In all my years of detecting I have never seen a site so heavily posted as this one was. Darn that site looked good, so we noted the name and will contact the owner sometime this winter with a little luck we may return.
We went on up to Moraine Park and detected in the woods. I was not surprised at the amount of hilly grounds because Jan and I used to hike the trails with the Sierra Club members. We walked up and down for several hours without a decent hit. I stepped on a buried under leaves heavy branch and took a tumble. I tossed my DFX away as I fell and landed on my hip. Luckily all I did was get a sore butt. The detector was fine so we proceeded to continue to hunt. I imagine Red was thinking that he was going to have a heck of a time dragging me out of there. I did discover four DEER TICS on me later after we were done hunting. I went home, stripped, tossed everything went into the wash and I jumped into the shower. No more Tics were found but every time I itched I went looking, this feeling lasted two days.
Another reminder to take a cell phone and a buddy while hunting in the woods.

Many members paid their dues at this meeting. We Thank You.
There was a long discussion and vote on the buffet menu for the Christmas dinner.
Christmas party:
It was suggested that you keep your gift exchange gift to between $5.00 - $10.00.
Mostly it was deciding the menu, the gift exchange, possible games and which room we will use.
Anniversary Party;
Thanks go to Red Craft for bringing in an excellent cake. This was a beautifully decorated cake which everyone enjoyed several times. We all stayed a bit after the meeting to share in the cake and just enjoy chatting with one another.
There was a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by many others.

Christmas Dinner/Meeting
Will be held at the Penn Bistro on Thursday December the 4th.
We will start at 7:00pm. Remember this is $15.00 per person payable prior to dinner. The Penn Bistro will only accept one check so your payment must be in cash in order for the club to write the one check if needed.
There will be a very short welcome meeting to start things off. We may discuss a few things at that time. Of course the gift drawing will take place after dinner. Please remember to bring your gift, you bring one, you get one. The price range is $5.00 - $10 00 and if you go over a little we won’t tell anyone. They do not need to be metal detecting orientated. It would be nice if the gifts are wrapped and marked male or female if necessary. We will also have a donated prize to be raffled off and a 50/50.
See you there
