THE PREZ SEZ
Ya Hoooo we’ve hit the Mother Lode. Have the past few days been beautiful or what!!! Summer temperatures and low humidity is weather we don’t usually get in our neck of the woods. I believe we’ve earned it after the winter we had to endure. Something which bears mentioning, with the advent of hot, summertime temperatures is the need for us to keep our bodies hydrated. Drink plenty of liquids and if you’re going to be hunting or hiking for an extended period, take along a bottle of water. Don’t forget our Brown Bag Hunt in North Park this coming Saturday, May 2nd. I hope we get a nice turnout and it looks as though the weather is going to cool just a bit. I’ll be sending out an email to all members concerning times and directions. Enjoy this gorgeous weather and be careful while out metal detecting or whatever it is that you’re doing. Remember that Turkey Season is in and that it’s not real advisable to enter a wooded area till after Noon. If I don’t see you at the BB Hunt, I hope to see everyone at the May 7th Meeting.

Notes
Just a few notes about members. Boobie had a Gastric Reflux pain in his chest a few weeks ago. They took him to the hospital and ran many tests on him. He was finally discharged and sent home. He was to go to Pappy’s for a week but his wife made him stay home another day to relax. They left Wednesday and I understand she will be driving as much as she can.
I hear there is silver to found out there. Red and Curt have been scouring the different sites and have gotten a few silver coin.
My wife found a silver nickel in a parking lot last week. So silver is still out there waiting to be found
Remember to wear your Blaze orange hats in the woods for several more weeks.
It looks like water hunting season is only a few months away. Tesoro is back making the Tiger Shark and they should begin shipping about the third week of May, 2009. This is good because the water will be warm enough so the adults will get into the water and drop some gold.
See Ya there. |
